On the Way to Chapel House
Hamilton, New York, is located on Route 12B, not Route 12 or Route 20; this is the most important fact to remember in locating Colgate. The following directions may also help you:
From New York Metropolitan area: The Tappan Zee Bridge (Thruway) to Route 17 west (Exit 16) to Deposit (Exit 84). At Deposit, right on Route 8 north to New Berlin, then Route 80 west to Sherburne. Right on Route 12, then bear left on Route 12B to Hamilton.
From North of Westchester: NYS Thruway Exit 24 (Northway) west on Route 20; at Madison, south on 12B to Hamilton.
From Boston: Mass. Pike to NYS Thruway (Exit 24), west on Route 20, south on 12B.
From Union County, N.J., and surrounding areas: Route 22 west to Clinton, N.J., north on Route 31 to 46, 46 west to I-80. Continue west to I-380 to I-80 north to Binghamton (Exit 6). North on Route 12 to Sherburne, and 12B to Hamilton.
From Philadelphia: Take Northeast Extension of Pennsylvania Turnpike to I-81 at Scranton, north on I-81 to Binghamton (Exit 6). Route 12 north to Sherburne, 12B to Hamilton.
From the West (Buffalo, Ohio, etc.): Take NYS Thruway east to Exit 34 (Canastota). Route 5 east to Oneida and 46 south across Route 20 to 12B south for Hamilton.
