*Graduate Studies Manual*

The study group is affiliated with Wheelock College in Boston. Students have the opportunity to investigate issues and questions about urban education though two courses at Wheelock, a course in the specialty to the director, and a seminar offered in conjunction with an urban practicum placement.  This placement will be in an educational setting (social service, education, health care), offering students an opportunity to connect previous education with current course work and placement experience.  The group also actively participates in events sponsored by museums, schools and institutions in the area and attends theater, concerts and dance. Questions about how these other kinds of educational experiences work with schooling are explored in a required, ungraded, bi-weekly seminar.  Students are selected for their demonstrated interest in education and personal responsibility.   Housing is at Wheelock College.
