Jennifer Kietzman graduated from Colgate University in 1992 with a BA in English and a minor concentration in Geology. She also earned a Master of Theological Studies degree from Harvard Divinity School with a particular interest in the lives of saints and the use of metaphor in religious texts. She most recently graduated from the University of Michigan with an MFA in poetry and has subsequently worked as a lecturer in the English Department. Her employments have also included work as a professional baker. She has worked as an online editor for the Early English Books Online project and as an Assistant to the Development Director at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was a finalist in the 2002 Fence Modern Poets Series and continues to seek print venues for her poems. She is working on a collection of poems entitled "Neighbor Dirt." Jennifer returned to Colgate as the recipient of the Olive B. O'Connor Fellowship in Creative Writing in the Department of English for 2003-2004.
