David W. Stoner: Hello to all my friends at Colgate from David Stoner, Class of 1972. I am still affiliated with the Stearns & Wheler Companies as an owner of out three operating companies and President of S&W Redevelopment of North America, a brownfield development company. We acquire, clean up and redevelop commercial/industrial properties that are contaminated. I love applying the technical skills of contaminant hydrogeology to the business of Real Estate. Every opportunity includes new challenges that are a bit different than the last one.

My wife Linda and I still live in Pompey, our son Chris is at Union College and our daughter Betsy is a high school senior (September) starting to look at colleges. Colgate is one of here choices, along with Union, Skidmore and several others. When we recently visited Skidmore, I was reading the bios of the geology staff and saw a white-haired Indian Chief listed as a visiting professor; one James McLelland. I understand from my friends at SU that he is also an adjunct at SU; so much for retirement.

By the way, during our college visits I couldnít help but notice how absolutely stunning the Colgate Campus looks these days. I think it is great that the school is better integrating itself into the Village by moving the bookstore Downtown.
