Geology Department
ALUMNI NEWS NOTES

Class of 1974

Lee Malcolm Gray: I've recently been connected to the Internet. Much of my spare time this summer has been spent browsing the World Wide Web. I'm wondering if the Colgate Geology Department plans to develop it's own page. (You can connect to my home page via Colgate's personal pages). Traveling is still a favorite summer pastime of mine. This past summer I participated in a course on dinosaur paleobiology in Grand Junction, Colorado. In previous years I've visited Costa Rica and San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. I plan to attend the NYSGA field trips this fall. (submitted '96)

Thomas Michael: After spending 4 years in the futures and options industry in Chicago as a financial markets analyst, I moved to the Washington, DC area in 1994 to become a portfolio manager at Rydex Series Trust, a mutual fund serving institutional money managers. I manage the Nova Fund, a leveraged portfolio consisting of S & P 500 index futures and options. My wife, Michaela (Brown '85) and I have a son, James Peter, who has just celebrated his first birthday. (submitted '96)

Dr. Sari Miller-Antonio: My current research project is an archaeological excavation in a Karst cave in southern China's Guizhou province. This project is a multi-national collaboration of scientists who investigate the fossil record of humans and the evolution of complex human behaviors. (submitted 6/03)
