Jonathan Knight: A big hello from the DC area from a prodigal Colgate Geology alum. Can't say that I've thought about olivene, feldspars and the like in quite a while, but I remember my undergraduate experience in Geology with particular fondness. Let's see, after deciding not to pursue a masters in geology upon graduation in 1996 after spending a semester in Wales with Bruce Selleck (no correlation to my decision, Bruce, don't worry :), I worked as a paralegal for a year, then worked in management consulting for a couple of years, then moved to IT consulting before business school @ Univ. of Maryland. Life is good. All the best to the department, I'd love to reconnect! (submitted 6/03)
Lai Man Lee:
Greetings from Aggieland(Texas A&M University)!! I have been in graduate school since
Colgate, 1997. After much trials and tribulation, I finally received my MS in Geology
(December 2001). And in a momentary lapse of sanity, I decided to stay and pursue my PhD.
I have gotten used to Texas and her many charms but I miss the rolling hills and the warm
colors of CNY Fall foliage. I still keep in touch with other Colgate Alums: those who also
got their MS degrees from TAMU and are now earning tons of money in the Petroleum Industry.
So if any other Colgate Geo Alums are in the Texas area, give me a ring or an email, maybe
we can meet up with Chris Olson, Rob Graham, and Jason Francis in the Houston area for a
reunion.

Chris Olson:
Since graduating from Colgate in '97 I have made Texas my home. I graduated from Texas A&M
in 2001 with my MS degree in Geology and then moved to Houston where I took a job as a
Geologist with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
At Anadarko I have worked domestic production/development and exploration in Anadarko's
prolific "Bossier" play located in the East Texas Basin.
Last year I moved into our International Exploration group where I have been working
Middle East exploration problems for the company with a focus on the Qatar region.
Talk about a LONG flight.
Most importantly, I will be getting married in October of this year to Danielle Kelly,
whom I met during my time at TAMU.
