ALUMNI NEWS NOTES

Class of 2003

Joe Henderson: Hey kids! I hope that all is well in the land of rocks wherever you all are. I spent last year teaching earth science and special ed. biology, and I also coached baseball in Oxford, NY just down the road from Colgate. Many thanks to Bruce, Evan, and Emily for accomodating my Earth Science class field trip. You helped to motivate some marginal students to pursue college science and I am forever grateful. I have decided to leave Oxford, despite having a great time, to further my education at the University of Rochester where I am currently in a M.A.T. Earth Science program for the next year. I spent the summer as an education camp director in the Adirondacks with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. I basically took high schoolers into the wilderness areas in the Adirondacks and even randomly ran into a very foodless Jason Williams coming out of the High Peaks at the ADK Loj. Watch out for the bears if you happen to be up there. Anyhoo, swing me an email or a phone call and let me know how things are going! (submitted 8/04)
