Instrumental and analytical techniques in the geosciences, geochemistry, volcanology, igneous petrogenesis,
environmental geochemistry
Research Interests: Geochemistry and petrology
of hotspots and the mantle (current focus: the origin and evolution of the Galápagos Islands
and plume-ridge interactions), environmental geochemistry (local studies), analytical
geochemistry and trace element analysis (ICP-MS), science education and outreach programs with an
emphasis on hands-on experiences.
