Amy Leventer Receives NSF Grant
Associate Professor Amy Leventer recently was awarded a $72,820 National Science Foundation, Polar
Programs grant to fund collaborative research on the paleohistory of the Larsen Ice Shelf systems.
The aim of this research will be to establish a record of the stability of the Larsen B Ice Shelf since its
formation 10,000 YBP in order to assess whether or not the recent catastrophic decay is a unique event.
The grant was awarded in April of 2004.
