Rich April Receives NSF-CRUI Grant
In March of 2005, Professor Rich April, along with Tim McCay, assistant professor of biology;
Randy Fuller, professor of biology; and Michele Hluchy, professor of geology/environmental
studies at Alfred University,
were awarded a four-year, $975,807 CRUI grant from the National Science Foundation to study
"Calcium Depletion in Adirondack Forests Affected by Acid Deposition and its Effect on Aquatic
and Terrestrial Food Chains." This is the largest research grant ever received by Colgate.
