TITLE OF WORK: Bibliography of Recent Work on Chinese Buddhism FILENAME: CHINBUD2.ZIP AUTHOR: John R. McRae AUTHOR'S ADDRESS: Department of Asian Studies Cornell University Ithaca, NY 14853-2502 PUBLISHER'S ADDRESS: BUDDHA-L [Internet mailing list] DATE OF PUBLICATION: 1994 ORIGIN SITE: BODY DHARMA * Berkeley CA 510/836-4717 DharmaNet (96:101/33.0) From: jrm@crux2.cit.cornell.edu (John McRae) To: Multiple recipients of list BUDDHA-L Date: Tue, 1 Feb 1994 09:00:57 EST ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The following is the bibliography for my contribution to an article to be published in an upcoming issue of the _Journal of Asian Studies_. The lead author and guiding force in this project is Dan Overmyer. Note that the following is intended to cover writing on Chinese Buddhism done in the last ten years and suitable for general, not specialized, audiences. Thus some entries in an earlier version of this bibliography have been removed, and other new ones added. I'm sure there are mistakes and omissions, and I would be happy to receive corrections and additions. I've converted long vowels to double syllables (i.e., aa, uu, oo), and I've indicated all underlining, italics, and so forth in a simplified fashion by preceding and following underscore characters. I think it's fair to assume that Matthew Ciolek of Coombspapers will snap this up and put it on his ftp site. Right, Matthew? I hope this is of use to my colleagues and friends around the world. -- John McRae, Asian Studies Cornell University jrm5@cornell.edu, 607/255-1328 ========================================================================== Bibliography of Recent Work on Chinese Buddhism compiled by John R.
