Friday, March 28

3:30pm:  NASC Science Colloquium will feature Charlie as the guest speaker,  “Harnessing Science and Government: Some   Stories from the Life of Charles C. Lauritsen” (209 Lathrop Hall)

7:00pm:  Welcoming Speakers’ Dinner at Merrill House.  This informal gathering of alumni and faculty will include a cocktail and a buffet dinner at a cost of $20 per person.

Saturday, March 29

Festivities begin at 9:00am with opening remarks by colleagues and administrators.

Talks from alumni will follow throughout the morning with a coffee break from 10:30-11:00.  Alumni speakers will include: 

 

 

 

 

Lunch break will be from 12:30-2:00pm.  It is a Saturday brunch at Frank Dining Hall.   Prepaid cost is $5.51 per person; pay at the door cost is $5.90 per person.

Talks will resume at 2:00pm until 4:30pm with a refreshment break from 3:00 - 3:45pm at which time the Physics 310/410 poster presentations will be displayed in Lathrop lobby and hallways.

The evening festivities will begin with a cocktail hour at 7:00pm (cash bar) followed by a dinner at 7:30pm.  This will be in the Frank Hall Green Room on Colgate campus.  The cost for the banquet is $25 per person.

 Overnight Accommodations

Colgate Inn is holding rooms for you to reserve if you wish to stay there.  Rooms start at $120 per night and may be reserved by calling 315-824-2300; please refer to CU Physics Booking #738 when you make your reservation.

White Eagle Lodge has rooms available starting at $89.00 per night.  315-824-2002.

 Childcare

If you are bringing your family and have children that need care during the day, the Colgate Bookstore offers a Children’s Program on Saturday morning.  The program runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and all children are welcome; although 5-10 is the ideal age for this program.  They do ask that any children 6 and under be accompanied by an adult.
