Welcome to the Website of the Fall Meeting of the New York State Section of the American Physical Society

The theme of this meeting will be Albert Einstein and the scientific legacy that he left with his theories and insights. This year marks the one hundredth anniversary of the "miraculous year" when he published his theories of the photoelectric effect, relativity and Brownian motion.

The symposium will feature ten talks on topics that span many of Einstein's legacies. It will start on Friday October 14 at 1:30 PM and end on Saturday October 15 at 3:30 PM. On Friday at 8 PM John Stachel, Director of the Center for Einstein Studies of Boston University will give a public lecture entitled "The Man Behind the Myth."

On Friday at 5 PM we will have a poster session. Cash awards will be given to the best student posters.
