JOSEPH C. AMATO at Colgate since 1984 Professor of Physics Department Chair

Professor Amato is an experimentalist interested in the properties of materials and devices at very low temperatures. He is presently studying the motion of magnetic flux in superconducting thin films, a topic of critical importance in applications of superconductors.
