2001-2002

• Dr. Jeffrey T. Buboltz hired as an Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy. Jeff is a biophysicist interested in the study of model cell membranes. His appointment was approved by the University to be the ninth permanent faculty position in the department.

• Joe Amato has been appointed Director of the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

• Beth Parks was recipient of a National Science Foundation outreach grant entitled Girls under the Hood. 

• Vic Mansfield appointed Chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy for the period 2002-2005.

• Prabasaj Paul, Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy, hired as an Assistant Professor at Denison University. Good luck Prabasaj! We will miss you!

• Tom Balonek has been promoted to Full Professor of Physics and Astronomy!  Congratulations, Tom!
