Improved Techniques for GUV Formation

Giant Unilamellar Vesicles (GUVs) were prepared using a technique of slow reverse phase evaporation.  We established lamellarity and entrapped volume assays to gain a measure of the GUV yield and preformed experiments studying how variations in the amount of  space-filling lipid effected this yield.
