We are in the process of developing an automated system for taking rod pull equilibrium surface pressure measurements at the air-water interface of phospholipid vesicle suspensions.  We constructed sleeves to mount sample test tubes on a chain, gear and axle arrangements to drive and guide the chain, a LabView program to drive the motor controlling the chain, and photogates to control the program.
