Interference patterns created by a photon passing through an interferometer can be destroyed by changing the polarization of a second photon at a different location.  These two photons are known as Polarization-Entangled Photon pairs and this experiment allows them to demonstrate quantum properties of entanglement, superposition and non-locality.
